Richard Ueberfluss, Assisting Hands Home Care, Franchisee of the Year
Assisting Hands Home Care franchisee Richard Ueberfluss of Naperville has been named Franchisee of the Year by International Franchise Association. "Rich Ueberfluss and his wife, Jennifer, have developed a highly successful Assisting Hands business in a short amount of time and have our congratulations for the well-deserved Assisting Hands Franchisee of the Year Award," said said Lane R. Kofoed, president and chief executive of the IFA. Assisting Hands Home Care offers in-home, non-medical support services to clients in Naperville, Hinsdale, Libertyville and surrounding areas. The Franchisee of the Year Award is a major component of the IFA's Public Affairs Conference, which brings more than 500 franchise business leaders together in Washington, D.C. to carry the key messages of franchising to lawmakers on Capitol Hill. "The IFA is proud to recognize the outstanding efforts of Richard Ueberfluss with the Franchisee of the Year Award," said IFA Chairman Jack Earle, a multiunit franchise owner of McDonald's restaurants. "The franchising community is an important component of the U.S. economy due to the hard work of these exemplary individuals who have helped bolster the growth of the industry." According to a study conducted for the IFA Educational Foundation by PricewaterhouseCoopers, the more than 800,000 franchised businesses across the country account for 18 million jobs and generating $2.1 trillion in economic output.
