( John J. Kim, Chicago Tribune / November 30, 2012 ) Karl Andrzejewski smokes marijuana from a pipe at his home in Kalamazoo, Mich. Andrzejewski is a legally licensed medical marijuana caregiver, which allows him to grow a specified amount of cannabis from his home and sell to patients. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer nine years ago, and after having his gall bladder removed, developed allergies to a variety of food proteins, in addition to chronic pain, which is part of the reason he grows cannabis for medical use. |
