Authorities were searching for a man who robbed a bank in the Irving Park neighborhood this evening.

The man entered a Chase Bank branch, 2959 W. Irving Park Road, about 6:45 p.m., showed a weapon and demanded money, said FBI Special Ageant Sean MacManus.

The man then fled with an undetermined amount of cash, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala said.

No one was injured in the robbery.

The robber was described as a black man, between the ages of 30 and 35, Zala said. He stood between 5-foot-10 and 5-foot-11 and weighed between 190 and 195 pounds, MacManus said. The robber was wearing a green ski mask and a green sweater.
