Authorities are searching for a driver accused of fleeing a fatal early-morning crash Sunday in the Hermosa neighborhood.

About 5:20 a.m., three vehicles were involved in a crash in the 1600 block of North Kostner Avenue, Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said.

A preliminary investigation suggested a silver pickup truck traveling southbound struck a Toyota Camry and a Hyundai Elantra, Mirabelli said.

The 25-year-old driver of the Camry died on the scene, police said. His name has not yet been released.

A 17-year-old boy riding in the vehicle was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition.

Both occupants of the Elantra declined medical treatment.

Police are searching for driver of the silver vehicle, which may be a Toyota Tacoma, Mirabelli said.

The police department's Major Accidents Unit is investigating.
