'The March on Washington ... taught me so much about organizing'

Since 1979, John Bradley, pictured with his wife Ida, 73, has been one of the directors of the Chicago Area Health and Medical Careers program at the Illinois Institute of Technology. The program has introduced thousands of minority students to careers in medicine, dentistry and other health professions. Bradley, who's 75 and lives in suburban Harvey, said he knew at an early age that he would be involved in civil rights. The March on Washington reinforced his convictions.
