Harland Williams

Harland Williams has a consistently dopey look on his face that he has used this to his advantage in roles in movies such as "Employee of the Month" "There's Something About Mary." You know, he's the 'different' guy who everyone thinks is a pushover, then turns out to be the smartest one in the room. Williams' face is the same when he's on the stand-up stage (duh), but his comedy is very intellectual, philosophical even. So much so, you may have to take a minute to get his jokes. And the dopey guy wins again.

Why go: Like many comedians who make the successful transition to the screen, Williams' first love is stand-up. And this is where he shines the brightest.

Reconsider: You can't get past Williams as the stoner in the movie "Half Baked."
