'Too Hot to Handel: The Jazz-Gospel Messiah'

"Too Hot to Handel: The Jazz-Gospel Messiah" is a musical celebration of the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. The classical masterpiece, reworked with jazz and swing influences, is performed by soloists Rodrick Dixon (tenor), soprano Alfreda Burke and alto Karen Marie Richardson; the 150-voice Too Hot choir (made up of members of choirs from all over the city); a 50-piece symphony orchestra; and a jazz ensemble.
