With hair already blocking some of his sight, "Joker" got a little help viewing ships moving near the Lake Michigan shoreline at Calvary Beach in <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100501430000" title="Evanston" href="/topic/us/illinois/cook-county/evanston-PLGEO100100501430000.topic">Evanston</a> in July 1959. The English sheep dog belonged to the Marshall family, Terry, 7, Shelia, 14, and their father, William.
