American Airlines Flight 810 from Reno blew two main landing gear tires upon arriving at O'Hare International Airport this afternoon, an AA spokeswoman said.
It happened just before 1 p.m. Monday. The aircraft came to a stop on a taxiway, and passengers were taken off the aircraft by portable air stairs. Then they were bused to the terminal.
The 737-800 aircraft left Reno at 7:21 a.m. and landed at O'Hare at 12:30 p.m., said American Airlines Spokeswoman Mary Frances Fagan.
There were 137 passengers and crew of five on board the flight, Fagan said. No injuries were reported. Passengers were taken off the aircraft by portable air stairs and they were bused to the terminal, Fagan said.
AA maintenance personnel changed the tires and the aircraft was taken to a hangar.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
