Man found dead in Lawndale residence

Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was discovered this morning inside a home  in the city's Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

About 10:53 a.m., the man was discovered unresponsive at a residence on the 2100 block of South Harding Avenue, said Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli.

The man, whose age was not immediately available, was pronounced dead on the scene, Mirabelli said.

There was no immediate information available about whether the man had suffered any trauma.

As of 12:20 p.m., police were conducting a death investigation, Mirabelli said.
