St. Paul's Chapel

St. Paul's Chapel is a crossroads of U.S. history. On his inauguration day in 1789, President George Washington attended services here. In 1861, Lincoln stayed at the Astor House across Vesey Street from the chapel. On Sept. 11, 2001, the structure survived the collapse of the World Trade Center towers, just to the west across Church Street.
