People's Gas workers in the 1900 block of West Larchmont Avenue in Chicago on Tuesday morning. Chicago firefighters extinguished an extra-alarm fire in an apartment building that spread to two others in the North Center neighborhood, authorities said. No injuries were reported in the 3-11 alarm blaze reported in three framed home near the intersection of Larchmont and Lincoln avenues, officials said. The quick-moving fire, which caused a collapse in the structure where it started, spread from one structure to two neighboring buildings.
