Delia Alvarez fixes the worn out Mexican flag she hoisted on the empty land where a movie-screen size controversial sign was once put up by Alvarez and her husband Gaudencio Fernandez in downtown <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100101175010000" title="Manassas (Manassas, Virginia)" href="/topic/us/virginia/manassas-county/manassas-%28manassas-virginia%29-PLGEO100101175010000.topic">Manassas</a>, Va. The sign, that expressed their displeasure with the way Manassas is treating immigrants, was taken down by Alvarez and Fernandez to avoid a legal fight with the city.
