'Just For Laughs' lineup set for June in Chicago

Bill Maher, Seth Meyers and Bob Newhart are among the old school-new school headliners of TBS Just for Laughs Chicago, the Chicago franchise of the Montreal-based comedy festival. It's slated for June 11-16 at various venues around the city, including the Chicago Theatre (175 N. State St.), The Vic (3145 N. Sheffield Ave.) and Park West (322 W. Armitage Ave.). Most of the headliners are at the Chicago Theatre

  • Meyers appears with Al Madrigal and Hannibal Buress (moving up from The Vic in past festivals) on June 14. Newhart is on June 15 and Maher is on June 16.
  • On June 13, David Cross will headline a Chicago Theatre show titled "David Cross & His Super Duper Pals."
  • Comics slated for The Vic include MADtv alumna Anjelah Johnson (June 12) and Nick Swardson (June 13).
  • Park West shows include the wonkish John Hodgman of “The Daily Show” (June 13); Maria Bamford of “Comedians of Comedy” and Artie Lang of "The Howard Stern Show" (both shows on June 15); Irish comic Dylan Moran (June 14); Trevor Moore, Zach Creggar, Sam Brown, Timmy Williams and Darren Trumeter of the IFC show “The Whitest Kids U’ Know” (June 12); and Steve Byrne, Owen Benjamin, Ahmed Ahmed and Roy Wood Jr. of the TBS sitcom “Sullivan & Son” (June 14).
