Janine Mileaf, director, Arts Club of Chicago

Janine Mileaf has been named director of The Arts Club of Chicago.

Mileaf will oversee the operation of the 95-year-old club in Streeterville. 

She succeeds Kathy Cottong, who left in August. 

Since 2001, Mileaf has been an art history professor at Swarthmore College, where she received tenure in 2010. 

She has a bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University and master's and doctorate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. She also is a prolific author.
