February 1969

A group of students have a sit-in at Northwestern University's Scott Hall. While the notes on the original photo do not specify what this particular protest was about, there were significant racial issues at the school during that time period, with some accusing the administration of unfair treatment of black students. The white lines on the top and bottom of the photo appear because the photo has rippled due to age.
