Next stop on Henry Melton's free-agency tour: St. Louis.
The incumbent Chicago Bears defensive tackle is scheduled to visit the Rams on Tuesday, a person with knowledge of the situation confirmed.
Melton visited the Dallas Cowboys on Monday as he continues to gauge his value on the open market. He is little more than five months removed from surgery to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, and teams are interested in learning about his condition and the status of his rehabilitation.
Melton has visited the Vikings, Seahawks and Cowboys through one week of free agency. The Bears have advised him to establish his value on the market in order to help possible negotiations between them and the 2012 Pro Bowler.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram first reported Melton's visit to the Rams. The Cowboys do not consider Melton's knee a deterrent to signing him, according to the report.
