Pigs penned

Pigs are piled up on in the back of a truck before getting culled and buried on the outskirts of Cairo on Thursday. No cases of swine flu, or influenza A(H1N1), have been reported in Egypt but the government continues their plans to slaughter 300,000 animals traditionally bred by garbage collectors, most of them from the Christian minority, a move criticized as unnecessary by the World Health Organization.
