At least six people have been hurt in shootings on the South and West sides since 5:30 p.m. Saturday, according to police.
Two of the injured were struck in a drive-by shooting about 9:20 p.m. in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side, police said.
Two men had been standing on the sidewalk in the 100 block of East 51st Street when shots were fired from a dark-colored sedan, Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said, citing preliminary information.
One of them, a 26-year-old man, was struck in the back and taken in critical condition to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Alfaro said. The other man, who is 60, was struck in the foot and taken to St. Bernard Hospital and Healthcare Center in good condition.
About 3:30 a.m., a 22-year-old man was shot multiple times in the abdomen in the 2200 block of West 18th Place in the Heart of Chicago neighborhood on the South Side, Alfaro said. The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
Police said the shooting was believed to be gang-related.
Earlier, about 11:45 p.m. Saturday, a 22-year-old man showed up at St. Bernard Hospital and Healthcare Center with a gunshot wound to the hand, Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.
The man had been shot in the hand, apparently near the intersection of 69th Street and South Prairie Avenue in the South Side's Park Manor neighborhood.
About 8:20 p.m., a man in his 20s was shot in the leg near the intersection of 104th Place and South Aberdeen Street, Alfaro said.
The man was taken from the scene of the shooting, in the South Side's Washington Heights neighborhood, to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized.
Saturday evening, a 26-year-old man was shot during an armed robbery in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side, police said.
Two males approached the man about 5:30 p.m. as he stood in a vestibule in the 4200 block of West Washington Boulevard, Alfaro said, citing preliminary information.
During the robbery, one of the assailants shot the man in the hip, and the robbers fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, Alfaro said.
The man was taken to Christ Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized.
Area detectives are investigating the shootings.
