Guarding the site

A Vietnamese soldier guards a contaminated site in Da Nang, Vietnam. The U.S. military stored millions of gallons of herbicides at a military base here during the war, and there are still high levels of toxins in the soil more than 30 years later. The pollution also has seeped into a nearby lake and has moved through the food chain into human blood and breast milk.
