Dole receives highest civillian honor
President Bill Clinton and others applaud former U.S. Senator Bob Dole after he received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in ceremonies at the White House. Clinton presented the medal, which is the nation's highest civilian honor, to his former Republican rival, in honor of Dole's 35 years of service in Congress and for heroism in World War II.
