After throwing a bullpen session Sunday morning, White Sox left-hander John Danks hopes he can pitch off a mound soon, most likely in a minor league rehab start.
“I‘m ready to face some hitters and that’s the way I gauge how I feel, get some adrenaline going,” he said. “I went 7-10 days without throwing so I was having to get back into shape a little bit. It’s getting to a point now where I can go out and face some hitters.”
Danks’ time on the disabled list for shoulder soreness ends this week. The Sox have not yet listed a starter for Wednesday but that is expected to be Jose Quintana, who has filled in for Danks twice.
