Campaign rally

State's Atty. Richard Daley and his wife, Maggie, acknowledge the cheers of about 4,500 people who turned out for a "Daley for Mayor" rally at Medinah Temple on North Wabash Avenue in Chicago. Greeted with an ear-splitting ovation, Daley responded by promising, "As long as I am mayor, this city never again will be offered for sale."
