First baseman Phil Cavarretta

First baseman Phil Cavarretta was a four-time all-star and the National League MVP in 1945, the year the Cubs were last in a World Series. Cavarretta played for the Cubs from 1934 to 1953, including a stint as player-manager, and ended his career with the White Sox in 1955.
