Out of the lockup

Chicago Ald. Sharon Dixon (24th) talks on a cellphone as she walks out of the Chicago Police Department's Belmont District station Wednesday, after she was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. The alleged incident took place in the 6800 block of North Sheridan Road about 1:25 a.m., where police were controlling traffic in connection with a fatal apartment fire. Dixon also was charged with obstruction of traffic by a motorist and operating a vehicle without proof of insurance. She had spent some time in the Belmont District lockup Wednesday morning.
