An Englewood neighborhood man has been charged with forgery after he was arrested trying to sell someone four counterfeit Chicago Bears tickets, police said today.
George Huff, 24, was arrested Thursday in the 1200 block of South Wabash Avenue after he tried to sell the tickets to someone for $600, according to a release from Chicago Police News Affairs. Huff, of the 5500 block of South Loomis Street, was given bail of $15,000 in bond court Saturday.
Huff is charged with forgery in that incident, as well as one in which he sold four counterfeit Bears tickets to someone last week and one in which he sold two counterfeit Blackhawks tickets to someone in May, according to police.
The counterfeit Bears tickets Huff sold Aug. 28 also were sold to someone in the 1200 block of South Wabash Avenue, according to police The counterfeit Blackhawks ticket sale took place in the 3600 block of South Wentworth Avenue.
Police released no further details of the incidents.
Area Central detectives continue to investigate, and police asked that anyone with more information about the three incidents or similar counterfeit ticket sales, call detectives at 312-747-8384.
