Lincolnwood man charged with taking $30K in West Rogers Park burglary

A Lincolnwood man is accused of breaking into the home of an acquaintance and taking a safe with $30,000 cash inside and $4,900 worth of hair extensions yesterday in the West Rogers Park neighborhood, police said.

Shedrak Koril, 32, of the 6900 block of North Avers Avenue in Lincolnwood, was charged with felony residential burglary, police said.

The victim called police at 2:27 a.m. Monday after Koril broke into the apartment of an acquaintance in the 6500 block of North Richmond Avenue, where he stole the safe, the hair extensions, a laptop, and an unidentified amount of jewelry, police said.

Police said they reviewed video surveillance of the incident.
