Every team from a “Big 6” conference with an RPI of 50 or better over the last three seasons has made the Big Dance.
The flip side is that Northwestern is just 1-10 against the RPI top 50 (with Seton Hall having fallen out) and 5-12 against the top 100.
Carmody said his players “know the history more (than I do) and read more about it. I look at game by game, and we’re going down (to Indianapolis) to win it. I don’t use (bubble talk) as a motivational tool.”
