A 20-year-old man was in critical condition after a motorcycle crash Tuesday night.
The man was driving a Kawasaki motorcycle southbound on Illinois Route 53 near Boughton Road just before 10 p.m. when he struck a Toyota minivan being driven by a 50-year-old Bolingbrook woman, according to Bolingbrook Police Lt. Michael Rompa.
The minivan was northbound on Route 53 and was making a left turn onto Boughton when the motorcyclist struck the van, according to Rompa.
The man suffered severe internal injuries and was in critical condition, Rompa said.
He was transported to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, according to Rompa, and no additional injuries were reported.
Police investigating the crash closed the intersection for several hours before it was reopened to traffic at about 3:30 a.m., according to Rompa.
