Divers recovered a body in the Chicago River this afternoon on the Near West Side.
Paramedics and divers responded at 1:20 p.m. to the river off Roosevelt Road and Lumber Street, according to Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford.
The victim was “obviously deceased’’ and was recovered from the waters, Langford said.
Police News Affairs spokeswoman Sgt. Antoinette Ursitti said the woman was "unresponsive" when taken to the hospital.
