President-elect <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PEPLT007408" title="Barack Obama" href="/topic/politics/government/barack-obama-PEPLT007408.topic">Barack Obama</a> answers a question about Gov. <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PEPLT007479" title="Rod Blagojevich" href="/topic/politics/government/rod-blagojevich-PEPLT007479.topic">Rod Blagojevich</a> after a meeting at the transitional office in Chicago. Obama said he had no dealings with Gov. Rod Blagojevich over who would replace Obama in the U.S. Senate. "Obviously, like the rest of the people of <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100500000000" title="Illinois" href="/topic/us/illinois-PLGEO100100500000000.topic">Illinois</a>, I am saddened and sobered by the news that came out of the U.S. attorney's office today," he said.
