Man shot in face, neck in Gage Park neighborhood

A 24-year-old man was in serious condition Thursday night after he was shot in the face and neck in Chicago's Gage Park neighborhood, authorities said.

The man was shot about 8:20 p.m. in the 5100 block of South Rockwell Street, police said.

Police said the man was driving south on Rockwell Street when "several" male shooters approached and opened fire. No arrests have been made.

The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
