Puccini's "Tosca"

Music director James Conlon's concert operas invariably rate high among the summer's red-letter CSO events. For this occasion, he has assembled a first-rate cast headed by soprano Patricia Racette in the title role, tenor Salvatore Licitra as Tosca's lover, Mario Cavaradossi, and bass-baritone Bryn Terfel as their lustful nemesis, Baron Scarpia. Puccini's so-called "shabby little shocker" never had it less shabby. 7:30 p.m. July 30; $15, $70, $100
