No one saw it coming -- certainly not the show's producers -- but after she became an immediate icon during the first season of <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ENTTV0000387" title="Charlie's Angels (tv program)" href="/topic/entertainment/television/charlies-angels-%28tv-program%29-ENTTV0000387.topic">"Charlie's Angels,"</a> <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PECLB001648" title="Farrah Fawcett" href="/topic/entertainment/television/farrah-fawcett-PECLB001648.topic">Farrah Fawcett</a> announced she wouldn't be back, since she had designs on launching a movie career. Thanks to something called a contract, the series' makers had designs on a lawsuit; it was settled with Fawcett being freed as a regular on the show, though she had to return in a number of guest appearances as Jill Munroe.
