This is a weekend filled with events, two of which combine food, drink, and entertainment in two of Carroll’s municipalities on Saturday, June 16.

BBQ Stroll

Stroll through downtown Westminster on Saturday afternoon while enjoying local beer, live music and artisans, and taste delicious barbecue prepared by several local establishments.

Establishing providing barbecue include Tim Thai Classic, Oscar's Alehouse, Giulianova Groceria, Johanssons, The Broken Fork, B-Flat BBQ, Hami's Bar-B-Que and Lone Star.

Numerous regional breweries, distilleries and at least one winery are participating as are more than 20 local vendors.

Entertainment is provided from noon to 2 p.m. by Late Night Record Shop and from 2 to 4 p.m. by The Amish Outlaws.

When: Saturday, June 16, from noon to 4 p.m.

Wine, Music & Art Fest

The fifth annual Taneytown Wine, Music & Art Fest is set for Saturday with patrons enjoying local wine, food and entertainment and proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity of Carroll County.

The fest will feature wine and microbrews from Maryland businesses including Great Shoals Winery from Silver Spring, Winery at Olney, Mount Airy’s MISCellaneous Distillery and Il Dolce Winery from Beltsville.

There will be musical entertainment throughout the day: Mr. Charisma and the 4 on the Floor with Overdrive will take the stage at 11:30 a.m., Devon Nickles performs at 2 p.m. and the Christian Harper Duo will perform at 3 p.m.

Food choices will be provided by Taneytown Lions Club, Coles Concessions, 2 Bold Chefs, Funnel Fare and Dawg Pound. There will also be numerous vendors and a Kids Zone with balloon animals, face-painting and crafts.

When: Saturday, June 16, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Looking ahead

Free family movie

Carroll Arts Center, in Westminster, will screen a free family movie all summer long, beginning next week.

The movies will play on Tuesdays at 7 p.m., premiering on June 19 with “Boss Baby,” the story of how a new baby’s arrival impacts a family told from the perspective of a wildly imaginative 7-year-old.

Other movies scheduled for future Tuesdays include “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” on June 26, “Coco” on July 3, “The Sound of Music” on July 10, “Ferdinand” on July 17, “The Princess Bride” on July 24, “Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie” on July 31 and “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” on Aug. 7.
