Carroll County Public Schools Board of Education President Bob Lord and Superintendent Steven Lockard will hold a number of town hall-style meetings throughout the year.

The first is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Winters Mill High School, 560 Gorsuch Road, Westminster.

According to the news release from the school system, “the purpose of the town meeting is to create an open dialogue with parents and the community. Members of the community are invited to attend and address their concerns or ask questions regarding education topics and issues.”

While the meeting is an open forum, depending on the number of people in attendance, time for each speaker may be limited, according to the release.

Additional town meetings will be held:

  • 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Manchester Valley High School
  • 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at Francis Scott Key High School
  • 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, at Century High School
