It appears there won't be any problems with this year's Fourth of July fireworks in downtown Indianapolis, a much different story from last year. The show has a new lead sponsor in Donatos Pizza and Emmis Communications
will air the soundtrack to the event.
In 2010, the show almost didn't go on due to a lack of funding until a couple of last-minute sponsors made sure it happened. This year's "Donatos Downtown Freedom Blast" is scheduled to launch at dusk (around 9:45 p.m.) on July 4th, 2011.
This is the 41st year for the downtown fireworks. The fireworks, as usual, will be launched from the top of the Regions Bank Tower, lighting up the sky over downtown Indianapolis. World-renown pyrotechnic firm, Zambelli International, will oversee the fireworks show.
