Under Armour has made LinkedIn’s list of top 50 companies. The Baltimore-based apparel, footwear and accecssories company came in at No. 16.
Alphabet, Google’s parent company, topped the list followed by Amazon, Facebook, Salesforce and Uber.
LinkedIn, the social and jobs networking site, described the list as a “cheat sheet” to determine companies most able to attract and retain top talent. Amomg other data, it assessed the rate at which people are viewing job applications featured by the site and seeking to connect with a company’s employees. It also chronicled how long employees remain at the same firm.
LinkedIn cited Under Armour’s “competitive spirit” and noted that it will soon become Major League Baseball’s official outfitter. It cited the “sweet perk” of employees getting access to sporting events and concerts.
In the past year, Under Armour began developing an “employment branding" strategy.” It says it has been trying to better project a clear image of itself to attract talent.
