A Justin Bieber beat down, a super computer with a potty mouth and plenty of purple passion for the Baltimore Ravens are at the top of the trends this morning.
Another school shooting is gaining traction on the web as Washington is poised to debate the issue of gun control next week. The presence (or lack there of) of an armed guard at the California's Taft Union High School is generating lots of discussion online. The school had a guard, but he happened to be "snowed in" yesterday.Baltimore continues to love the plucky Kerry Washington and her show Scandal. The Washington soap opera is dominating the Baltimore Twitter trends this morning along with -- you guessed it -- the Baltimore Ravens. Brace yourself it's "Purple Friday."
Meanwhile, a former bodyguard of Justin Bieber is suing the pop star for more than $400,000 in damages, saying the Bieber assaulted him during an argument over his entourage. Bieber may be getting off easy with just a lawsuit. Picking a fight with a former member of the Israeli special forces isn't the brightest move. Meanwhile, yesterday's Oscars nominations are still going strong in on the web with discussion moving toward the notable snubs like Kathryn Bigelow for director.
And finally my favorite story of the morning: the Jeopardy winning IBM supercomputer Watson learned the Urban Dictionary and had to have its digital mouth washed out with soap. Please tell me there is audio of Watson's Urban Dictionary days.
