After days of speculation, Oprah Winfrey is talking about her interview with disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong. Winfrey will be on CBS This Morning today, plugging her bombshell interview with Armstrong. The news is now shifting to the possible legal implications of Armstrong's public confession with the Justice Department getting involved.
Although the holiday isn't until Monday, today is Martin Luther King Jr.'s actual birthday and Internet users are reading up on the civil rights leader. Meanwhile, Beijing is under a cloud of air pollution so thick it's been dubbed an "airpocalypse." and Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has broken a seven-year silence -- with a throw away joke about his alma mater Yale.
"Deception" -- NBC's answer to "Revenge" and other soapy mysteries -- debuted last night to decent ratings, but show appears to have a strong Baltimore fan base as the show is trending on Twitter this morning.
Finally, later today gun control will be again in the news as New York and Maryland make moves to add greater oversight on firearms.
