The next installment of Baltimore Tech Parents is happening on Tuesday, Oct. 9th!
I'm very excited to announce the lineup of speakers, who include two people very involved in the Baltimore business scene for years. Everyone is invited: not just parents. Our speakers have a lot of wisdom to offer.
Our first speaker is Vince Talbert: a cofounder of Bill Me Later, a Baltimore startup that grew to be acquired by EBay/Paypal a few years back for nearly a billion dollars. Vince has gotten very active in the angel investing scene in Baltimore over the past year, sharing his expertise and wisdom with entrepreneurs.
Our second speaker is Ken Holt: the chief financial officer of Woofound, a hot, young startup based in Baltimore County that's already garnered more than $2 million in investments. Ken worked for Morgan Stanley for years and, a couple years ago, ran for Baltimore County Executive. He says he could've retired, but chose to jump into the fray with a bunch of 20-somethings who started Woofound, to lend his expertise.
Both of Vince and Ken are entrepreneurs and parents, and they'll give short talks on the theme of "Second Acts." Or what they're trying to do in the next phase of their lives.
Please join us Tues., Oct. 9th at 6 p.m. at Capital Studios, 1300 Bank St., Baltimore, MD. It is ABOVE Heavy Seas Alehouse. RSVP HERE.
Light food and drink will be served: $10/pp for food, $5 a drink, pay at the door.
