The Baltimore City Department of Planning is hosting a town hall meeting Tuesday evening where new tidal flood maps will be presented to residents.
The meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the War Memorial Building (101 N. Gay St.), near City Hall.
"The public is invited to come learn about how changes to the flood plain maps will impact them and their properties – and more importantly how they may be able to save money on flood insurance," according to a statement from the department.
Staff from the planning department and representatives from federal, state and city agencies will be on hand to answer questions, the statement said.
The town hall will also offer the chance for residents to learn about the city's new Disaster Preparedness and Planning Project, DP3 for short, which you can learn more about here.
