Baltimore is one of the best cities in the U.S. for homebuyers, according to a recent analysis from online housing market data firm Zillow.
“Zillow analyzed data on actual sales prices compared to asking prices, the number of days listings spent on Zillow and the percentage of homes on the market with a price cut and ranked the 30 largest metro areas in the country to determine whether buyers or sellers have more negotiating power in a given market,” the company said in a statement this week.
According to the numbers Zillow crunched, Baltimore is number seven in the top 10 buyers’ markets. Chicago, Cleveland and Philadelphia top that list.
Three California cities — San Jose, San Francisco and Sacramento — are the three markets where sellers have the most leverage, Zillow concluded. Las Vegas, Phoenix, Seattle and Washington, D.C. are also top sellers’ markets, the company said.
