One of the state's top home sellers is switching brokerages, moving his 40-person team from Re/Max Advantage Realty to Keller Williams Realty Inc.
Bob Lucido and wife Tracy, whose group made more than $206 million worth of sales in 2013, said they liked Keller Williams' "agent-first" culture, as well as its global reach and top of the line technology.
"Their culture is agent first," said Bob Lucido, 55. "It's not the company first and then the agent."
As the Bob Lucido Team LLC of Keller Williams Select Realtors, the Lucidos are opening a new headquarters on Route 40 in Ellicott City and plan to open new offices in Baltimore and Carroll counties.
"We liked the brand and we liked the ability to be able to grow our team," Tracy Lucido said.
The Lucidos started in 2008 with Re/Max Advantage in Fulton, after shutting their previous business, Builder's First Choice, a new home sales and marketing firm that catered to mid-size builders.
The Denver-based RE/MAX Holdings Inc., the parent company, went public this fall.
Keller Williams Realty Inc. is headquartered in Austin.
