Valentine's Day for children usually means exchanging those paper Valentines and lots of sugary candy.  But kids can get creative this year, and make some homemade crafts for their friends and classmates, too.

Roanoke Macaroni Kid publisher and mom Jamie Clark says that kids can use candy, pencils, glue and even colorful duct tape to create great Valentine's Day gifts that are fun and easy to make.

For example, a candy heart picture frame only involves an inexpensive plastic photo frame, candy hearts and hot glue.

You can check out step by step instructions for this, or any of the great gifts that Jamie showed us in "Early Years," by going to her Web site, Roanoke Macaroni Kid.
