Beatty Development Group has begun pre-leasing for Harbor Point’s first residential tower.
The 17-story building, called 1405 Point, is expected to be completed in February. The first of the building’s 289 apartments will be available in January.
Prices start at $1,560 a month for a 368-square-foot studio. The largest three-bedroom units with 1,136 square feet of space will be priced at $3,440 a month.
Each apartment includes modern cabinetry, quartz countertops and stainless-steel appliances. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of the harbor. Some units will have private balconies.
“At 1405 Point, we’ve strived to create a highly desirable living space paired with great amenities — however, our real amenity is the neighborhood,” Jonathan Flesher, vice president of development at Beatty, said in a statement. “The public open spaces, along with best-in-class shops and restaurants, coupled with its central location between Harbor East and Fells Point, is what really makes the Harbor Point neighborhood the ideal place to live.”
The building is located on a former parking lot just west of the historic Ferndale Fence & Awning building and behind Thames Street Wharf.
It is part of the 27-acre Harbor Point development area between Fells Point and Harbor East, where Beatty plans hundreds of residences, more than a million square feet of office space, restaurants, a hotel and 9.5 acres of open space and parks.
The 20-story Exelon building, which houses 103 apartments and ground-floor retail in addition to offices for roughly 1,500 Exelon and Constellation employees, opened last year.
At 1405 Point, tenants will have access to an 11th-floor pool deck and lounge area with grilling stations, a fitness center and common-area kitchen.
The building will also have about 18,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. Previously announced retail tenants Vida Taco Bar and Solidcore, a fitness studio, will open in 2018.
