The Cordish Cos., Loews Hotels announce $65 million St. Louis hotel

The Cordish Cos. and Loews Hotels are planning a new $65 million Live! by Loews hotel in St. Louis.

The 216-room hotel will be part of the $260 million expansion of Ballpark Village, a mixed-used dining and entertainment district near Busch Stadium developed by Cordish and the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Live! by Loews hotel concept was developed jointly by Cordish and Loews Hotels & Co. and debuted in May.

“Loews Hotels & Co is one of the most respected names in hospitality,” said Blake Cordish, vice president of The Cordish Companies, in a statement. “We are extremely excited to welcome Loews to Ballpark Village and are thrilled to be growing Live! by Loews to another iconic sports anchored destination.”

The hotel include 17,000 square feet of meeting and event space with views of Busch Stadium and downtown St. Louis, a fitness facility and 24-hour valet service.

Its 216 guestrooms will include 19 suites.

In addition to the new hotel, the Ballpark Village expansion will include a 29-story luxury apartment tower, the first new Class-A office building built downtown in decades and additional retail and entertainment.
