Robb Merritt, left, and Scott Dorsey, right, president and chairman/CEO respectively of Merritt Properties LLC, are trustees for 622-623 Ponte Villas North, in the Pier Homes conclave off Key Highway. The waterfront villa was owned by Robb's father, Leroy Merritt, who founded the company and died in 2010. The luxury waterfront home on four levels is on the market for $8.5 million and has a property tax bill of about $95,000.
