CHARLEVOIX -- Advanced Clean Air Technologies Global (ACAT Global) recently named James Lentz as the new controller for the Charlevoix-based company, and Cyndi Noirot as director of human resources.
Lentz will be responsible for all accounting functions at ACAT, including planning, reporting and maintaining key accounting processes. He will also develop detailed production cost reports, budgets and forecasts, and contribute to decision making, goal development and implementation of company strategies.
Prior to joining ACAT, Lentz was part of A.L.P. Lighting, formerly known as LexaLite International, in Charlevoix. From 2002 to 2013, Lentz was the director of management accounting, managing the sales, operating and capital budget process for several business and manufacturing facilities. Lentz obtained a bachelor's degree in accounting from Western Michigan University. He resides in Charlevoix with his wife and three children.
Noirot comes to ACAT from DE-STA-CO, a manufacturer of material handling tools and automation equipment. She was a human resources generalist at its Charlevoix facility, where she advised management and supervisors on all aspects of labor and employment. Noirot also led the staffing and recruitment of new employees. She had previously served as human resources manager at A.L.P. Lighting in Charlevoix.
Noirot attended Sonoma State University in California and is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management and the American Society for Training and Development, where she has served as a board member and vice president of programs.
ACAT manufactures metallic catalytic converter substrates using a patented "herringbone" design.
