The Lottery
Sure, scratch tickets and the lottery is fun to play, but don't make it a habit. That $2 dollar scratch ticket most likely will never pay-off.

Okay. I can understand some of this other stuff, but seriously...pets? That's ridiculous because the benefit from having a pet far exceeds the costs of vet bills. The only time you spend money on pets most of the time is for when they're ill. A bag of dog food, for instance, doesn't disappear in a day. You can save grooming for several months. It's not really necessary unless it's summertime. Collars aren't bought every week either, and they don't cost an arm and a leg to get. If your pet gets injured and must be taken to the vet, sure. That's one thing. Bying bunches of foo-foo play toys and snacks are another. But to slap the Money Wasters tag on them is nonsense. There is proven data that states just how important pets are, and the health benefits they provide. Web MD has an article, "5 Ways Pets Can Improve Your Health." For senior citizens, they can be the only real company they have. They work in law enforcement, aid the disabled and are just great to have around (dogs rule, and cats rock). So please. Apparently the author of this article has either never had a pet or he/she has had a bad experience with one. Pets give much more than they take.
